3 Credit Hours; 1-semester course
Winter 2019 (this year, but may change in the future)
ENGL 111 prepares students for the complex demands of academic literacy and research. These require students to be able to critically observe personal and public knowledge; ask questions of reading and research; formulate hypotheses; design and conduct research projects, both in the library and in the field; and identify further avenues of inquiry. This course may be taught concurrently with English 9, English 10, English 11, and English 12. This course is in-seat and students are able to earn both college and high school credit from the instructor.
